Work > Shared Horizon
Shared Horizons visualizes different perspectives over lapping, transforming into a moment of a shared vantage point. We all see similar horizons, but our points of view naturally vary greatly. Shared Horizons shows two cloth scraps over lapping, and fused together with a gold or silver thread. Sometimes the cloth is from an old American quilt, with remaining ripped seams. It is often paired with a loosely woven cloth used to tie turbans. The thread is woven through the cloth or rather embedded into it. The thread shape sifts between a mountainous horizon line, vital records, or the mark of a journey.
